Dieter Agatha (born December 14, 1956 ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
Agatha played until 1975 for the Westphalian Hammer Stadtteilverein SC Eintracht Heessen before the season 1975/76 from Bayern Munich has been committed for the second team. For the 1976/77 season , local rivals TSV 1860 Munich signed him free of charge.
The trained car mechanic completed three seasons for the Löwen , for which he played 46 point games: nine in the Bundesliga and 37 in the 2nd Bundesliga South . He made his debut in paid football on August 14, 1976 (1st matchday) in the 0-2 defeat in the away game against KSV Baunatal ; his first goal was with the hit to the 3-0 final score on October 2, 1976 (10th matchday) in the home game against BSV 07 Schwenningen . In the Bundesliga he played for the first time on August 6, 1977 (1st matchday) when he was substituted on in the 21st minute for Ahmet Glavović in a goalless draw at home against FC Schalke 04 .
For the 1979/80 season, Agatha moved to the 2nd Bundesliga North to Prussia Münster . In 1982/83 he let his active career at the second division club FSV Frankfurt end. Agatha also played seven times in the DFB-Pokal competition: five times for TSV 1860 Munich and twice for Prussia Münster.
Since Agatha mostly acted in defense or in defensive midfield, it is not surprising that he only scored four goals in a total of 143 league games in the first and second division; three of them, however, in his last season with FSV Frankfurt.
