Dieter Ahlers

Dieter Ahlers (born September 1, 1921 in Bremen ; † July 30, 2009 in Bremen) was a German lawyer . He was vice-president of the German Bar Association , board member of the Hans Soldan Foundation and holder of the Hans-Dahs plaque .

biography

Ahlers was Hauptscharführer of the Hitler Youth and a member of the NSDAP since 1939. After studying law in Hamburg, obtaining a doctorate in 1948 on the purchase of property and training as a trainee lawyer in Bremen and Göttingen, Ahlers was initially a court assessor in Bremen from 1948 . In 1950 he was admitted to the Bremen bar and thus resigned from the civil service, in 1958 he was appointed notary .

In 1954, Ahlers joined the firm of Dr. Child, Dr. Meyer, Dr. Löning und Partner (today: Ahlers & Vogel ).

In addition to his work as a lawyer, Ahlers was active in the German Lawyers' Association (DAV). In Bremen he was elected deputy chairman of the local bar association in 1971 and chairman in 1973. He held this office until 1983. At the federal level, Ahlers was a board member of the DAV from 1973 to 1983, most recently vice-president. He was represented there from 1963 to 2000 as a member of the Civil Law Committee, and since 1974 also as a member of the Commercial Law Committee. Ahlers headed the DAV-related Hans Soldan Foundation since 1979. From 1963 to 1970 Ahlers was a member of the joint examination office of the states of Bremen, Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein for the Great State Examination in Law.

From 1979 to 1996 Ahlers was a member of the Court of Honor for Lawyers of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, since 1988 its president.
