Dieter Bartels

Dieter Bartels (* 1955 in Neustadt am Rübenberge ) is a German clown and acting teacher .

Life

Dieter Bartels studied social education with a focus on media work with children at the University of Applied Sciences for Social Education in Hanover . He wrote his diploma thesis on theater for children as a socio-educational field of activity .

Bartels had been a member of the Rammbaff children's theater in Hanover since 1973 . In 1977 he founded the MischMaschTheater for children . The mentor of this project was the Berlin puppeteer Peter Klaus Steinmann , from whom Bartels also learned the basics of dramaturgy .

Bartels continued his studies in educational sciences and psychology at the University of Hanover . During this time he also took free dance lessons . He also took clown and acting lessons in Bremen and Munich.

Services

Together with the actress Corinna von Kietzell and the dancer Dirk David, Dieter Bartels founded the private school for dance, clown and theater (TuT) in Hanover in 1986, which he has been running since 1991 together with the dancer Rita Holderegger and the theater pedagogue and clinic clown Ralf Höhne. He has been teaching there since it was founded.

In 1992 he created the curriculum for clown training, which has since been recognized by the state. In addition to his activities at TuT Hannover, Bartels also trains 'clown theater' in Switzerland and the Netherlands. Dieter Bartels has taken up the demographic change by creating special clown training for people over 50 since 2000. This resulted in the first German clown 50plus ensemble "Alles Unikate" with actors aged 50 to over 80 years.
