Dieter Duwendag

Dieter Duwendag (born January 28, 1938 in Hamburg ) is a German economist .

Life

From 1958 to 1962 he studied business administration and economics at the universities of Hamburg and Münster (1962 diploma examination for business people (University of Münster)). From 1962 to 1969 he was a research assistant at the chair / department head at the Institute for Settlements and Housing at the University of Münster. After receiving his doctorate in 1965 rer. pole. (Business Administration), University of Münster, he had a post-doctoral scholarship from the German Research Foundation in 1969/1970 . After his habilitation in 1970 and Venia Legendi for economics at the University of Münster, he was offered the professorship for economics at the University of Cologne in 1971 , the chair for empirical macroeconomics at the University of Dortmund in 1972 (rejected) and in 1972 the chair for economic political sciences, especially general economics, economic policy of the DHV Speyer . Since 1972 he has been a full member of the German Research Institute for Public Administration at DHV Speyer. From 1978 to 1982 he was rector or prorector of the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer. Since 2004 he has been a professor emeritus for political economics, especially general economics, economic policy at the DHV-Speyer.

Duwendag was one of the signatories of the Euro-critical manifesto The Monetary Policy Decisions of Maastricht: A Danger for Europe (1992).
