Dieter E. Appelt

Dieter E. Appelt (born November 26, 1947 in Fürth ; † January 7, 2016 in Postbauer-Heng ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Appelt attended elementary school and trained as a steel mold maker. In 1975 he became a works council, in 1980 he became an exempt works council, 1985 works council chairman and 1987 general works council chairman. In 1991 Appelt became President of the Grundig European Economic Committee until he left Grundig in July 2002.

In 1989 Appelt joined the SPD. For six years he was a councilor in Postbauer-Heng , where he was a parliamentary group speaker. He was also the district chairman of the SPD Neumarkt . On July 1, 2000, Appelt replaced Albert Schmid , who had left the Bavarian State Parliament . He sat there until the end of the 2003 legislature.

Appelt was a bearer of the Bavarian Environmental Order.
