Dieter Fritz

Dieter Fritz (born August 13, 1956 in Ilshofen ) is a former German television journalist for SWR television .

Life

Dieter Fritz graduated from high school in 1975. From 1976 to 1982 he studied communication science , politics , sociology and American studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU). At the same time, he completed a journalism training at the German School of Journalism in Munich. From 1978 to 1981 Fritz was also a freelancer for the Stuttgarter Nachrichten . From September 1982 he worked as a freelancer for SDR television. From 1986 to 1995 he moderated the magazine Politik Südwest . In April 1990 he was employed by the SDR. From 1995 to 2005 he set up and moderated the Landesschau Journal as a late-night news edition. From 2005 to 2014 he presented the news program Baden-Württemberg aktuell / Landesschau aktuell at 7.45 p.m.

Dieter Fritz was deputy editor in the newsroom at SWR Fernsehen , project manager of the virtual television news studio and from November 3, 2014 anchorman of SWR Landesschau aktuell Baden-Württemberg (since February 2017 SWR Aktuell ) at 7.30 p.m. On May 17, 2019, he hosted the last news show before his retirement.

From 1991 to 1993 Fritz was chairman of the state press conference in Baden-Württemberg. He is also active as a moderator of events such as panel discussions and congresses.

Fritz lives in the Waiblingen district of Bittenfeld , is married and has three children.
