Dieter Hünerkoch

Dieter Hünerkoch (born April 28, 1944 in Bremen ) is a German journalist and communications consultant.

Life

After training as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk, Hünerkoch completed an editorial traineeship at Weser-Kurier . During this time he was a member of the FDP and was active in the German Young Democrats . After his professional positions at the Bremer Nachrichten and the Westfalenblatt , he occupied positions in the editors-in-chief of the Hamburger Morgenpost and Wirtschaftswoche . After a time as chief reporter for manager magazin , he first took over the management of the economics department at the magazine stern , before he also took over the politics department there and was promoted to managing editor. Subsequently, in 2000, under Hartmut Mehdorn , he took over the management of the corporate communications department at Deutsche Bahn AG until the beginning of 2004. In February 2004 he asked for his contract to be terminated - according to his own statements for personal reasons - and then until the end of 2010 he worked mainly for DB as a communications and management consultant and was regularly involved in major projects as the rail manager's representative. As head of communications at DB, Hünerkoch was temporarily followed by corporate spokesman Werner W. Klingberg until Susanne Wegerhoff took over the post. From 2011 to the end of 2016, Hünerkoch worked as a senior adviser at the "Allianz pro Schiene" and was involved in various projects. In addition, until 2016 he was a member of the supervisory board of "Tagueri AG".

Hünerkoch lives in Buxtehude and currently works as a freelance communications consultant, is on the advisory board and is a regular guest columnist for a regional newspaper (Stader, Altländer, Buxtehuder Tageblatt).

Honors

Hünerkoch was as a journalist in 1970 with the Theodor Wolff Prize , in 1976 with the guard price of German daily newspapers and 1981 with the Development Policy Media Prize awarded.
