Theodor Wolff Prize
The Theodor Wolff Prize ( TWP ) is the journalist prize awarded by German newspapers . The prize has been awarded annually since 1962 in five equal individual prizes of 6,000 euros each by the Federal Association of German Newspaper Publishers (BDZV). In addition, the life's work of deserving journalists is recognized at irregular intervals with the Theodor Wolff Prize (undoped).
The award is dedicated to the memory of Theodor Wolff , who was expelled from Nazi Germany by the National Socialists in 1933 because of his Jewish origins . Until 1933 he was the liberal-democratic editor-in-chief of the Berliner Tageblatt .
