Jost Springensguth

Jost Springensguth (born September 23, 1945 in Eisleben , Saxony-Anhalt) is a German journalist, author and communications consultant. Until summer 2009 he was editor-in-chief of the Kölnische Rundschau . Then he was communications advisor to the Schleswig-Holstein Prime Minister Peter Harry Carstensen in the state election campaign. From 2010 to 2017 he was managing partner of the communications agency Cyrano Kommunikation GmbH (Münster).

Life

After graduating from high school, Jost Springensguth completed an editorial traineeship at the Bocholter Volksblatt . There he worked as a sports and local editor and took over the management of the local editorial office in Bocholt . He moved to Kiel and was press spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group in the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament from 1977 to 1981 . At Kieler Nachrichten he headed the regional politics department, became deputy editor-in-chief of the Westfälische Nachrichten and was appointed editor-in - chief of the daily newspapers published by the Schleswig-Holstein newspaper publisher. From 1990 to 2000 he was editor-in-chief of the Westfälische Nachrichten in Münster . There his deputy Norbert Tiemann followed him in this office. In 2000, Springensguth became the successor to Dieter Breuer's editor-in-chief of the Kölnische Rundschau. He works as a consultant for various entrepreneurs, association presidents and politicians, including the Schleswig-Holstein politician Christian von Boetticher , the entrepreneur Clemens Tönnies and, in the 2015 local election campaign, Mayor Thomas Kufen ( Essen ).

Offices

Springensguth was a member of the jury for the award of the Theodor Wolff Prize , the journalist prize of the German daily newspapers, and is a member of the Board of Trustees. Springensguth is managing director of the Economic Society for Westphalia-Lippe with the organizational management (since 1998) for the award of the International Peace of Westphalia Prize. Springensguth is also a member of the board of trustees of the Westphalian Heimatbund . He was also a speaker at the Institute for the Promotion of Young Journalists, now the Catholic School of Journalism ifp . He had a lectureship for editorial management at the Institute for Journalism and Public Relations at the Gelsenkirchen University of Applied Sciences .

His hobby is hunting.
