Dieter Korczak

Dieter Korczak (* 1948 ) is a German sociologist and non-fiction author .

Dieter Korczak studied at the University of Cologne and was a student of the Cologne sociologist René König . After receiving his diploma in 1973 ("Dipl.- Volkswirt in the social sciences"), Korczak obtained his doctorate in philosophy at the University of Cologne in 1978 and filled positions a. a. at Reemtsma , TNS Infratest and Marplan.

Korczak is chairman of the Interdisciplinary Study Society for Practical Psychology (ISG) in Munich. He was involved as an expert in the first report on poverty and wealth of the federal government , which was published in May 2001.

On November 2, 2010, he was elected President of the European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research ( ESOMAR ).
