Dieter Lorenz

Dieter Peter Lorenz (born November 12, 1938 in Munich ) is a German legal scholar .

Life

Dieter Lorenz studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1965 he was promoted to Dr. iur. PhD . In 1971 he completed his habilitation in Munich with the text The legal protection of the citizen and the guarantee of legal recourse . He then taught as a private lecturer in Munich, Mainz, Berlin and Saarbrücken.

In 1974 he received a reputation as a professor of constitutional law , administrative law and General Theory of Law at the University of Konstanz . From 1979 to 1981 he was Vice-Rector there. 1987 to 1988 he was visiting professor in Quito, Ecuador; from 1999 to 2003 cooperation partner with the University of Santo Tómas, Bogotá in Colombia. In 2005 he retired .

In addition to his professorship, he was a part-time judge at the Baden-Württemberg Administrative Court from 1975 to 1987 . For many years he was a liaison professor of the Catholic Academic Foreigners Service KAAD . He has been a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. since 1959 . Act

Dieter Lorenz's main areas of activity and research were, among other things, the protection of fundamental rights, administrative procedural law and procedural law as well as road and right of way and environmental law. He has published numerous scientific papers.
