Dieter Müller (politician, 1930)

Dieter Müller (born April 23, 1930 in Schlagsdorf ; † 2015 ) was a German SED functionary in the Neubrandenburg district .

Life

Müller, the son of a driver, attended elementary school and completed a commercial apprenticeship. Responsible functions were assigned to him at an early stage. From 1945 to 1947 he worked as a community secretary in Schlagsdorf. In 1946 he became a member of the Free German Youth (FDJ) and the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED). From 1947 to 1949 he was SED local secretary of the city of Guben and from 1949 Org.-Secretary of the SED district leadership in Guben. In 1951 he became an employee of the Central Committee of the SED in East Berlin . From 1953 to 1956 he studied at the party college of the CPSU in Moscow with a degree in social science . He was then employed as a sector head of the SED Central Committee. From 1960 to 1961 he was initially an employee of the SED district leadership in Neubrandenburg and from 1961 to 1974 secretary for agitation and propaganda of the SED district leadership in Neubrandenburg. From January 12, 1974 to January 11, 1986 he acted as 1st secretary of the SED district leadership in Neubrandenburg (successor to Gerhard Müller ). At the same time he was a member of the SED district leadership in Neubrandenburg and its secretariat. He was also a member of the Neubrandenburg District Assembly. From 1969 to 1971 he completed a distance learning course in education at the University of Rostock . From February 9, 1986 to 1989, he worked as chairman of the SED district party control commission (successor to Irmgard Vielhauer ) and as a member of the secretariat of the SED district leadership.

Müller was a member of the Society for the Protection of Civil Rights and Human Dignity (GBM) and most recently lived in Neubrandenburg . He died in 2015.
