Dieter Wurm

Dieter Wurm (born November 17, 1935 in Dinklage ; † August 29, 2019 ) was a German CDU local politician.

education and profession

After graduating from high school in Quakenbrück , Wurm studied at the universities of Innsbruck and Münster, where he took the state examination in philology (subjects German and history). He became director of studies at the Benedictine grammar school in Meschede and was the head of German at the study seminar for teaching for secondary level 2 in Hamm / Arnsberg. As of February 1, 1999, he was retired.

Dieter Wurm was married. He had five children and lived in Meschede .

Politics and volunteering

Dieter Wurm was from 1972 first on the CDU local union committee in Meschede, then in the city association committee and in the district committee of the Meschede district . From 1975 to 1979 he was a member of the city council of Meschede. He was a member of the district assembly of the Hochsauerlandkreis from 1979 to 2004, where he held the office of deputy district administrator from 1989 to 2000. From 1984 to 2004 he was a member of the Westphalia-Lippe Regional Assembly , where he was initially deputy chairman from 1995 to 1999 and chairman from 1999 to 2002.

From 1998 to 2010 he was chairman of the Sauerland Heimatbund .

Honors

In 2004, Dieter Wurm received the Ring of Honor of the Westphalia-Lippe Regional Association for his special services in the Westphalia-Lippe Regional Assembly. On July 1, 2004 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon.
