Dietisalvi di Speme (also Diotisalvi di Speme ) was an Italian painter who belonged to the Siena School .

Life

He worked in Siena and the surrounding area in the 13th century . The period of his artistic creation falls in the years between 1250 and 1291. In a document from January 18, 1289 he is listed as Dietisalvi pictori olim Speme . Thieme-Becker mentions the possibility that he was a neighbor of Duccio di Buoninsegna and maybe also his teacher.
