Dietrich Blos

Dietrich Blos (born June 11, 1901 , † 1989 ) was a German doctor .

Life

Dietrich Blos was the older son of the physician Edwin Blos . He passed his state examination in Edinburgh and later became a surgeon back in Germany .

In 1934 he autopsied the body of Ludwig Marum and documented in his memory the murder of the politician by strangulation in 1984 . From 1939 he worked for Schering in Berlin.

He worked as a doctor, later as a medical officer in Berlin . For the Wehrmacht moved in, he became involved in 1947 as a district medical officer for health in Berlin-Reinickendorf for the supply of the Berlin fire victims.

After the Second World War he was the founder and from 1950 to 1976 the President of the German Red Cross in Berlin. After his tenure, he was made honorary president.

In 1981 he was awarded the Ernst Reuter plaque .

He was married and had children.
