Dietrich Ernst Heinrich von Linsingen

Dietrich Ernst Heinrich von Linsingen (* February 12, 1687 ; † May 19, 1762 in Siebleben ) was a princely-Anhalt-Zerbstian thigh, real secret councilor and chancellor as well as heir, feudal lord and court lord of Burgwalde in Eichsfeld, Electorate of Mainz .

Life

He came from the Eichsfeld line of the von Linsingen family and was the son of Friedrich Heinrich von Linsingen (1669–1701), known for his beauty. Friedrich Emanuel von Linsingen was his younger brother, who however left no descendants.

After his father's early death in 1701, he and his brother were under guardianship. They initially had their paternal property administered jointly, before he agreed to an inheritance settlement in 1723. The Burgwalde manor, located in Eichsfeld, fell to him by drawing lots, which together with Birkenfelde formed its own aristocratic patrimonial court.

Ernst von Linsingen received his school education at the grammar school in Heiligenstadt . Subsequently, he struck an administrative career up to the Privy Council and Chancellor at the Anhalt court in Zerbst . As an envoy he was given several assignments at home and abroad.

After he had taken for reasons of age in Zerbst his resignation as a privy councilor and chancellor, he sat down on the in Gotha situated Castle Mönchhof to rest, where he died. His body was buried on May 22nd, 1762 in the church in Siebleben.

He married Johanna Magdalena nee von Avemann (* 1703) on November 23, 1719 and left five sons, including Adolph Ernst von Linsingen and Ludwig Carl von Linsingen .
