Dietrich Gottfried Lamprecht

Dietrich Gottfried Lamprecht (born July 9, 1726 in Bergedorf ; † November 21, 1798 in Lübeck ) was a lawyer and councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

Life

Lamprecht was the son of Bergedorf's mayor Heinrich Daniel Lamprecht († 1748). He studied law at the universities of Leipzig and Göttingen from 1747 to 1750 . He received his doctorate as Dr. jur. After graduating, he went on a trip that took him to the legal travel destinations of the time in Wetzlar, Strasbourg, Regensburg and Vienna. In 1754 he became a lawyer in Lübeck. In 1781 he became a councilor in Lübeck. Lamprecht also worked as an occasional poet . He was buried in the Katharinenkirche .

He was married to Magdalena Elisabeth, geb. Witte, the daughter of a Hamburg merchant. The son Paul Daniel Lamprecht (1755-1832) became a lawyer and canon in Hamburg.
