Dietrich Meyer (Manager)

Dietrich L. Meyer (born September 18, 1939 in Düsseldorf ) is a former German manager and association official.

Life

Meyer graduated from the Stiftisches Gymnasium in Düren , Rhineland , in 1959 . From 1960 to 1965 he studied business administration at the Universities of Munich and Cologne with a degree in business administration in Cologne. In 1971 he received his doctorate as Dr. rer. pole. From 1959 to 1960 he did his military service in Oldenburg iO

He has been married to Karin E. Häusler-Meyer since 1967. The couple have two children.

Professional Activities

From 1965 to 1974 Meyer was a management consultant, speaker and managing director in various business associations in the then federal capital Bonn (DGV, Gepha-Verband, Zentgeno / ZGV). In 1974 he was appointed to the board of NOWEDA , a pharmaceutical trading company in Essen. From 1983 to 2005 he was the company's CEO. In 2005 he left NOWEDA and was appointed honorary chairman of the board.
