Dietrich Steinwede

Dietrich Steinwede (* 1930 ) is a German religious educator.

Life

Steinwede was born in 1930 and grew up in Lower Saxony . At the age of 19 he went to the Adolf Reichwein University in Celle . After completing his studies in pedagogy, he entered the school service, but resigned it after a year. In 1953 he took up a second degree in history and German studies in Hamburg , which he completed in Freiburg and Göttingen . In 1961 he became a lecturer in religious education at the Religious Education Institute in Loccum . In 1970 he moved to the Pedagogical-Theological Institute in Bad Godesberg near Bonn. The Evangelical Theological Faculty Bonn awarded him on 7 February 2001, the dignity of Doctor of Theology honoris causa. Henning Schröer gave the laudatory speech .
