Dietrich Wortmann (born January 11, 1884 in Leipzig , † September 21, 1952 in New York City ) was a German wrestler .

biography

Dietrich Wortmann competed in featherweight at the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis . He stayed in the United States, where he became American champion in 1906 and later also worked as a weightlifter. In 1951 he became president of the Fédération Internationale de Halterophile . He was also President of the German-American Athletic Club for over 45 years . Wortmann worked as an architect in New York City .
