The Hersfeld-Rotenburg parish is a parish of the Evangelical Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck (EKKW) in the Hanau-Hersfeld district. It was created on January 1, 2020 through the merger of the Hersfeld and Rotenburg church districts .

74,875 Protestant Christians lived in the 73 parishes of the church district. There were 15 church-sponsored day-care centers in the church district. Head of the church district are dean Gisela Strohriegl (for the dean's office in Rotenburg) and Dr. Frank Hofmann (for the Dean's Office Bad Hersfeld). The seat of the church district office is Bad Hersfeld .
