The Hofgeismar parish was a parish of the Evangelical Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck (EKKW) in the Kassel district. On January 1, 2020, it merged with the neighboring Wolfhagen to form the Hofgeismar-Wolfhagen church district .

40,020 Protestant Christians lived in the 54 parishes of the church district. There were nine church-sponsored day-care centers in the church district as well as a location for the Hofgeismar-Wolfhagen church district office. The last leader of the church district was Dean Wolfgang Heinicke. The seat of the church district was Hofgeismar .

The church district extended roughly over the political communities of the old Hofgeismar district .

location

The Hofgeismar church district was in the far north of Hesse. It bordered the church district Wolfhagen in the southwest and the church district Kaufungen (both EKKW) in the south. The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover joined in the north and east and the Evangelical Church of Westphalia in the west .
