Dileep Kumar Kanjilal

Dileep Kumar Kanjilal (born August 1, 1933 in Calcutta ) is an Indian Indologist and professor of Pali , Sanskrit and other ancient languages ​​of India.

Life

Kanjilal was a Sanskrit teacher at Scottish Church College in Calcutta from 1956 to 1957 and then employed by the West Bengal Educational Service. After studying at Sanskrit College in Calcutta with a Master of Arts (First Class) degree, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Calcutta and a Bachelor of Letters (B. Litt.) At Oxford. From 1969 to 1971 he was a Research Fellow of the Association of Commonwealth Universities in England and other European countries. He is professor at the "West Bengal Senior Educational Service" and honorary member of the Asiatic Society Calcutta, the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI) in Pune , the KS Rangasamy Institute in Madras and the Research Society for Archeology, Astronautics and SETI (AAS).
