Dillon (* 1988 in Brazil , real name Dominique Dillon de Byington) is a Brazilian singer and pianist who lives in Germany .

Life and music

At the age of four, Dillon moved with her mother from Brazil to Cologne, where she graduated from an English school in 2007. In the same year she recorded her own song for the first time, which she published on the Internet. Her first single was released in January 2008 on the Kitty-Yo label . Afterwards she went on her first tour of Germany as a support act for the band Jolly Goods . She has lived in Berlin since 2008 .

Although Dillon's photos were largely positively rated by the critics, she initially decided to study photography . 2011 finally released their debut album appeared This Silence Kills at Techno label BPitch Control , which by Tamer Fahri Özgenenc and Thies Mynther was produced. Then she went on tour in Germany again.

This Silence Kills received mostly positive reviews. Dillon's singing was sometimes compared by critics with that of Björk and Lykke Li .

Her second album The Unknown was released in March 2014, three years later then Kind .

On April 5, 2019, Dillon released the EP When Breathing Feels Like Drowning. In collaboration with the artist and producer Samuel Savenberg, a six-track work was created on which, in addition to new songs, cover versions of various artists that have already been played live by her at concerts can be heard.
