Dinborg was an Argentine manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The state-owned company DINFIA , which manufactured the Graciela , and Borgward founded the joint company in Córdoba on December 1, 1958 . In 1960 the production of automobiles began. The brand name is Borgward . The downfall of Borgward led to the end of production, which ran until 1961, 1963 or 1965 depending on the source. According to a source, a total of 2295 vehicles were built.

Dinborg manufactured the chassis and bodies and sourced engines , transmissions and chassis parts from Germany.

The only car model was the Borgward Isabella as a two-door sedan . The vehicles were powered by a water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 75 mm bore , 84.5 mm stroke , 1493 cm³ displacement and 60  hp . Another source mentions 64 hp. The 260 cm wheelbase vehicles were 440 cm long, 176 cm wide and 150 cm high. Of these, 999 vehicles or 3000 vehicles were built.

There was also the Borgward B 611 pickup truck . It had a water-cooled four-cylinder diesel engine with a 78 mm bore, 92 mm stroke, 1758 cc displacement and 42 hp. With a wheelbase of 260 cm, the vehicles were 520 cm long, 210 cm wide and 218 cm high. 1296 vehicles were built between 1960 and 1962.
