Dino Drpić (born May 26, 1981 in Zagreb , SR Croatia , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian football player .
Career
society
Dino Drpić comes from the youth of Dinamo Zagreb . He was considered one of the best central defenders in the Croatian league and has a strong shot.
On January 24, 2009 Drpić was suspended from his club Dinamo Zagreb and put on the transfer list. The reason for this was, among other things, the disclosure of his wife Nives Celsius on Croatian television, allegedly to have had a nap with her husband on the lawn of the Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb. His contract was actually still valid until 2010.
On January 28, 2009 Bundesliga soccer club Karlsruher SC Drpić committed. He moved to the wildlife park for six months on loan with an option to buy. At the end of the season, the Croat was relegated with the club, which then drew the option to buy Drpić, with the aim of selling him on for a profit. However, since Drpić did not find a new club for the new season, he decided to stay with KSC. In April 2010, the KSC terminated the contract originally dated June 30, 2011. In the first half of 2011 Drpić played for AEK Athens . After several short-term engagements in his home country of Croatia, Ukraine and Singapore, among others, Drpić ended his active career in 2013.
National team
Drpić belonged to the extended circle of the Croatian national football team . He played his first and so far only A international match on October 16, 2007 in a friendly against Slovakia .
Private
Drpić was married to the Croatian singer, model and writer Nives Celzijus until May 2014 . They have two children together.
