Dirceu Siqueira

Dirceu Siqueira (born September 29, 1929 in São Paulo , † 1999 in Mexico ), in his native Brazil also under the nickname Maravilha Negra (dt. The black miracle ) and in Mexico as Cheo , was a Brazilian football player in the position of one Striker .

career

Dirceu began his football career at the Mocidade do Glicério FC football school in São Paulo and played for various amateur teams in his hometown at the beginning of his career. He received his first professional contract with the Associação Ferroviária de Esportes railway association from Araraquara , a city in the center of the state of São Paulo , around 270 km north of the capital of the same name. 1955 Dirceu had a significant share in the greatest success in the club's history up to then, when the championship of the Segunda Divisão was won.

In 1961 Dirceu moved to Mexico, where he won the Mexican Cup competition with Atlas Guadalajara in the 1961/62 season . After a few years with Atlas, he had to end his active career due to a knee injury. He stayed lifelong in his new hometown Guadalajara , the capital of the state of Jalisco , and trained various amateur teams in Mexico and especially in the state of Jalisco over the next few years.
