Ackermann director's villa

The director's villa of the Ackermann twisting mill at Kolpingstrasse 3 in the Heilbronn district of Sontheim was built in 1886 according to plans by Hermann Maute and Theodor Moosbrugger , the in-house architects of the Ackermann twisting mill . The building in the style of Neo-Renaissance stands as cultural monument under monument protection .

The villa is located directly opposite the Teutonic Order summer house , in which the administration of the Ackermann twisting mill was located. This was then followed by the actual factory site.

architecture

While the ground floor has unplastered ashlar masonry with conspicuous corner blocks, the upper and attic storeys are made of colored exposed brick construction with ashlar blocks. With an open space and visible framework on the stair tower, the villa also shows elements of the Swiss house style - "The architects had copied individual wooden decorative elements from the chalets in the Swiss Oberland, which they tried to combine with conventional stone buildings in order to create the impression of country house architecture".
