Dirk Donath

Dirk Donath (born April 3, 1961 in Leipzig ) is a German architect and computer scientist as well as a professor of computer science in architecture .

Life

Dirk Donath studied architecture and applied computer science at the Weimar University of Architecture and Construction from 1981 to 1986 . He was then a research student and received his doctorate in 1988 with the subject of studies on user-specific communication and modeling in computer-aided architectural design . After completing his doctorate, he worked as an assistant in the "Design and Planning" department. Since 1990 he has also been working as a freelance architect.

In 1993 he was appointed professor for computer science in architecture . Since 2000 he has been a member of the Senate of the Bauhaus University Weimar. Since 2008 he has held a chair at the Addis Ababa University's Architecture Institute in Addis Ababa .

Dirk Donath has three children. He has been missing since October 2017.
