Dirk Geiger

Dirk Geiger (born July 4, 2002 in Mannheim ) is a German motorcycle racer .

Career

Dirk Geiger rode pocket bikes until 2011 . He was German champion in the Junior A class in 2010 and German champion in the Junior B class in 2011. In 2012 he was promoted to the ADAC Minibike Cup, where he became a champion in the entry-level class. In 2013 Geiger took 4th place in the ADAC Minibike Cup in the junior class, in the following season 2014 he won the German championship title in this class and was vice European champion on a Honda NSF 100.

In 2015 Geiger competed in the ADAC Junior Cup on the KTM RC 390 Cup and became champion with three victories. In 2016 and 2017 he drove in the ADAC Northern European Cup in the Moto3 standard class for the Kiefer Racing Team on a Honda NSF 250 and secured the championship title in both years. Geiger then competed in the European Talent Cup as part of the Spanish Motorcycle Road Championship , where he finished 20th overall in 2018 and tenth overall in 2019. In July 2019 he made his debut in the motorcycle world championship in the Moto3 class at the German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring for the Kiefer Racing team on a KTM and finished 23rd.

In 2020 Geiger will compete in the first five races of the Moto3 World Championship on a KTM for PrüstelGP because regular driver Barry Baltus will only reach the minimum age of 16 before the French Grand Prix.
