Dirk Lang

Dirk Lang (born April 28, 1962 as Dirk Wolter-Orgas ) is a German artist . He works in Berlin as a painter , author , photographer and model .

Life

Lang grew up with a foster mother in Celle and moved to Berlin in the 1990s. After dropping out of two courses and doing temporary jobs, at the age of 29 he remembered writing, which had fascinated him from an early age. As an author, he wrote and photographed the book Santa Adele in 1996 . Virgin of Light - A pig tales as a charity project for AIDS - hospice . He cited the death of four closest friends as the motivation for this book, three of whom died of AIDS and one of a heart attack . The volume presented itself as a mixture of a fictional novel and a picture book with celebrity photos (e.g. by Désirée Nick and Monty Arnold ). At the renowned Clemens Brentano Prize , the book was awarded 2nd place as best newcomer novel.

As a photo model (nude, fashion) he worked with artists such as John Aigner , Raymond Angeles, Jürgen Baldiga , Patrick Balmer, Henning von Berg , Thomas Bliss, Rinaldo Hopf , Robert Recker , Sproject and Matthias Witter. After a photo shoot with Ralf König , he is also referred to as a former porn model. Lang also made a name for himself as an artist with drawings and paintings, which impressed with their very detailed structures. Lang realized his fantasy story The Days of Sodom together with the Berlin scene photographer Raymond Angeles . The book was published in 2006 as a so-called photo comic with photos and English texts. Occasionally he published short stories in various gay magazines. Some photos and stories were printed in anthologies of the Querverlag . His central theme in pictures and writing is the world of gay men. Lang lives in Berlin .
