Dirk Totzek

Dirk Totzek (born April 4, 1979 in Hof ) is a German economist and professor of business administration . Since May 1, 2013, he has held the chair for Marketing and Services at the University of Passau .

Life

Totzek studied business administration with intercultural qualifications ( Francophonie ) at the University of Mannheim until 2005 , during which he worked as a research assistant and completed several internships . The University of Mannheim and the ESSEC Business School , France , awarded him the academic degrees of Diplom-Kaufmann and ESSEC MBA / Diplôme de l'ESSEC as a participant in a double degree program . He then worked as a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the Chair of General Business Administration and Marketing I, Christian Homburg , and received his doctorate at the end of 2010. After that he was employed at the same chair as a research assistant and habilitation candidate. In June 2011 he was appointed junior professor for empirical research methods in the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Mannheim.

Totzek completed his habilitation at the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Mannheim in April 2013. At the same time, he has been the Chair of Marketing and Services at the University of Passau since October 2012 . Since May 2013 he has held the chair for business administration with a focus on marketing and services at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Passau. In July 2013 he was also appointed director of the Institute for Market and Economic Research at the University of Passau , which consists of the two departments CenTouris and Center for Market Research .

His main research interests are: service marketing , price management , customer relationship management and business-to-business marketing .
