The Disco Move Hamburg is a disco - and dance festival, which since 2014 every year in May in Hamburg-Harburg takes place and one of the largest such event in Germany applies.

The year 2014 was the year of birth of the Discomove, as an alternative to the Schlagermove , in which predominantly German hits are played. While there were around 15,000 visitors at the time, over 20,000 people celebrated the festival the following year. In the afternoon, up to 25 trucks and private cars with large music systems and dancing disco fans drive through the Harburg inland port and fill the surrounding streets with disco music . Many visitors dress up in the style of the 1970s and 1980s or as a former disco stars, wear it under another bell bottoms , colorful, shrill dresses and oversized sunglasses or wigs.

The event in Harburg takes place on a weekend in May. In addition to the parade, there will be a big party and dance event with two music towers and DJ teams in the afternoon on Kanalplatz . Will moderate this from NDR presenter Michael Wittig .
