Disperse is a Polish progressive rock and progressive metal band from Przeworsk that was founded in 2007.
history
The band was founded in December 2007 and consisted of guitarist Jakub Żytecki, singer and keyboardist Rafał Biernacki and bassist Marcin Kicyk. Over the next six months, the band worked on their first four songs, which were released as a demo in 2008 under the name Promo 2008 . In addition, the first appearances followed, with Konrad Biczak being used as a live drummer. In the summer of 2008, Przemek Nycz joined the cast as permanent drummer. In 2009 the band went on tour with Riverside . The group then recorded their debut album Journey Through The Hidden Gardens , which was released in 2010 and produced by Paweł "Janos" Grabowski . The album was mixed by Szymon Czech in Studio X , while it was mastered by Grzegorz Piwowski . The publication followed various appearances in Poland, among others together with Marillion . She also played at the German Euroblast Festival and at the UK Tech-Metal Fest in Alton, England . The latter featured drummer Maciej Dzik and bassist Wojciech Famielec as new members. Meanwhile, the band was also working on their second album. The band then returned to Studio X, with guitarist Jakub Żytecki now also working as a producer. The album was mastered by Grzegorz Mukanowski . The album was released in 2013 under the name Living Mirrors via Season of Mist .
style
The band plays progressive rock and metal and is also assigned to the Djent movement. In terms of sound, the group is comparable to bands such as Cynic , Dream Theater , Devin Townsend .
