Divine Empire is a death metal band from Boca Raton , Florida , USA .
history
The band was founded in 1997 by Jason Blachowicz, John Paul Soars (ex- Paingod ) and Derek Roddy. All three musicians had previously played in the band " Malevolent Creation ". After a demo tape received Divine Empire a contract with "Olympic Recordings". After two tours through the USA, the band founders parted ways. Jason Blachowicz is the only founding member to remain in the band. In 2005 the band then switched to Century Media .
