Alain Vasseur
Alain Vasseur (born April 1, 1948 in Cappelle , France) is a former French cyclist .
His first major success was winning the amateurs race from Paris to Tours . He took part in the Tour de France in 1970 , 1971 and 1974 . In 1970 he won the 8th stage of the tour, which led from the Belgian Ciney to Felsberg , ahead of Walter Godefroot and Marino Basso . In 1969 he won the Four Days of Dunkirk . In 1968 he took part in the Olympic Games and finished 20th in the road race.
His older brother Sylvain Vasseur and his son Cédric Vasseur were also professional cyclists.
