Division I (chess) 1981/82

The 1981/82 season was the 13th season of the Allsvenskan in chess.

Events

The preliminary round competitions took place on October 18, November 15, December 6, 1981, January 17, February 7 and 28, and March 21, 1982.

Division I Norra

In the northern season, the two final places were fiercely contested. In the end, SK Rockaden Stockholm and SK SASS prevailed over the two first place winners from the previous year, Wasa SK and Upsala ASS . KH-Alliansen and Stockholm Södra Schacksällskap had risen from Division II , both of which had to relegate directly.

Division I Södra

In the southern season, the promoted Lundby Schacksällskap and the Jönköpings Schacksällskap qualified for the final tournament, while last year's champion SK Kamraterna had to be content with third place. From Division II , Lundby Malmö AS was promoted , which together with Lunds ASK , which had participated in the final tournament in the previous year, was directly relegated.

Final tournament

The final tournament took place from April 16 to 18 in Hallsberg . The SK Rockaden won all three matches and was thus superior Swedish team champion.
