The Dixon peak is 420  m high and steilwandiger mountain near the northwestern tip of South Georgia . It rises 1.5 km north of Cape Parjadin at the southern end of the Parjadin ridge .

Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations did a rough mapping between 1926 and 1930. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the mountain in 1963 after Lieutenant John B. Dixon of the Royal Navy , surveyor officer on the ship HMS Owen , which operated in the area between 1960 and 1961.
