Diyana
Diyana Spuling (born May 11, 1989 in Singapore ; née Hensel) is a German singer , songwriter and model . In 2008 she took part in the seventh season of the casting show Popstars . In 2010 she started a solo career under her first name Diyana .
biography
Diyana Hensel was born in Singapore on May 11, 1989. At the age of nine, because of her violent father, she emigrated with her mother to Stuttgart, where she completed 6 years of vocal training at the Cap Academy in Stuttgart and dance training at the New York City Dance School Stuttgart . First appearances in musicals and as a background singer on television followed. Together with her dance group, she became German tap dance champion in 2005.
Hensel has been working as a model since she was ten years old. After her first orders for regional brochures, she was contracted by a model agency and modeled for Replay, among other things .
At the age of 19, Hensel applied to the seventh season of Popstars and made it into the last eight candidates for the band Queensberry . Shortly before her departure, she recorded the Christmas song I Believe in X-Mas for Red Nose Day as one of the remaining eight candidates , which was released as a single on December 5, 2008 and made it to number 14 in the German single charts.
She then published various songs on MySpace and YouTube under the stage name Diyana Morgan .
Through a friend, she got to know the Munich music producer duo Goofiesmackerz , with whom she worked on her debut album. The album contains many styles such as reggae, ska, R&B and pop. Hensel wrote many of the texts himself. At the end of 2009 she made a music video for the song Mystery which was originally intended as the first single. On September 3, 2010, the preliminary single Drifted was finally released as a download. The album Diyana , which was released on CD and as a download by the GetoGold label, will follow on October 1, 2010 . In August 2010, Diyana was named "Newcomer of the Week" by Bravo magazine .
In 2012, Hensel applied to the 10th season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar , where she was eliminated during the workshop on Curaçao .
She has been married to her great childhood sweetheart since 2015.
Today Diyana works as a make-up / spotlight artist for MAC Cosmetics in Stuttgart .
