Djambala is a small town in the center of the Republic of the Congo . The capital of the Djambala district and the Plateaux department is located about 200 kilometers northwest of the state capital Brazzaville near the Léfini Conservation Reserve . At the 2007 census, the city had about 17,000 inhabitants.
In April 2007 it was decided to build a railway line from the largest port in the Republic of Congo to Djambala, mainly for timber transport. The city is also connected to Djambala Airport .
