Dmitri Vadimowitsch Selenin ( Russian Дмитрий Вадимович Зеленин ; born November 27, 1962 in Moscow ) is a Russian politician.

Selenine was governor of Tver Oblast from December 2003 to June 2011 . From 1996 to 2002 he was at the executive level of the nickel producer Norilsk Nickel operates.

In October 2010, he caused a stir when he published photos of a salad on his Twitter account that was supposedly served to Federal President Christian Wulff . An earthworm could be seen in the picture. Sergei Prichodko , foreign policy advisor to President Dmitry Medvedev , then asked him to resign.

Selenin has been a member of the General Council of the United Russia party since 2007 . In September 2008, he took over the chair of state and municipal administration at the Russian State University for the Humanities .
