Dirk Kleinke

Dirk Kleinke (* in Berlin ) is a German tenor and singing lecturer at the University of Potsdam and at the BTU Cottbus .

Life

Kleinke first studied choral conducting in Weimar and Berlin. This was followed by vocal studies at the "Hanns Eisler" University of Music in Berlin, which he successfully completed in 1999.

Between 1997 and 1998 he was connected to the Neuköllner Oper Berlin through participation in three productions of this house. Since 2000 he has been a member of the Cottbus State Theater ensemble as a high performing tenor . Dirk Kleinke already sang in numerous opera productions during his student days. For example, he could be seen as Monostatos in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte , staged by George Tabori in the Berlin “Circus around the Magic Flute”. As a prizewinner of the Rheinsberg Castle Chamber Opera , he sang the role of Don Basilio in WA Mozart's Marriage of Figaro in the summer of 2000 . In January 2003 his first CD with songs by Robert Schumann was released. In addition, one could and can experience Kleinke as a concert singer and in recitals. He worked with well-known conductors , choirs , orchestras , pianists and guitarists from all over Germany.

His repertoire now includes around 60 opera roles, 75 oratorios and over 150 songs. Opera guest performances , concerts and recitals have taken Dirk Kleinke to Italy, France, Belgium and many of the major theaters, churches and concert halls in Germany. He has given concerts in the Berlin Philharmonic , the Konzerthaus Berlin , the Leipzig Thomaskirche , where he was able to work with the Thomanerchor Leipzig , the Speyer Cathedral , the Magdeburg Cathedral and the Berlin Cathedral .

Since the 2006/07 winter semester, Dirk Kleinke has been a singing lecturer at the University of Potsdam in addition to his duties as an opera and concert singer . Since autumn 2008, Dirk Kleinke has been guest soloist at the Komische Oper Berlin in addition to his duties at the Cottbus State Theater .

Since the summer semester 2018, the tenor has also been teaching voice at the BTU Cottbus.
