Dmitri Z. Garbuzov

Dmitri Z. Garbuzov ( Dmitri Salmanowitsch Garbusow , Russian Дмитрий Залманович Гарбузов ; born October 27, 1940 in Sverdlovsk ; † August 20, 2006 in Princeton , New Jersey ), was a Russian - American physicist who dealt with laser physics .

Life

Garbuzov studied physics in Leningrad . He worked at the Joffe Institute , headed by the director and Nobel Prize laureate Shores Ivanovich Alfjorov , in Saint Petersburg and as a university lecturer in physics at Princeton. In 1992 he received the Humboldt Research Award in Berlin. Garbuzov was married and had two children.
