Dniproavia ( Ukrainian Дніпроавіа ; Russian Днеправиа ) was a Ukrainian airline based in Dnipro and based at Dnipropetrovsk Airport .

history

The airline was founded in 1933 and started operating in Dnepropetrovsk. It was originally part of Aeroflot . On June 22, 2006, the company, including Dnipropetrovsk Airport , became a joint stock company . It is owned by the State Property Fund of Ukraine .

In February 2007 a cooperation with the airline Donbassaero and Aerosvit Airlines was agreed. In early 2010, the airlines controlled by Ihor Kolomojskyj's private group applied to the Ukrainian Anti-Trust Office to merge.

On January 8, 2013, Dniproavia ceased operations after the bankruptcy of its sister company AeroSvit had been announced a few days earlier . On February 1, 2013, flight operations were restarted with a fleet of Embraer ERJ 145s .
