Donbassaero ( Russian Донбассаэро ; Ukrainian ДонбасАеро ) was a Ukrainian airline based in Donetsk .
history
Donbassaero was founded as Donetsk State Airlines in 1933 . Major overhauls of the Jakowlew Jak-42 have been carried out in the company's own shipyard since 1992 . In 1998 it was renamed Donbass - the eastern air lines of the Ukraine . In 2003 it was renamed again to its current name.
In February 2007 a cooperation with the airline Aerosvit Airlines and Dniproawia was agreed. In early 2010, the airlines controlled by Ihor Kolomojskyj's private group applied for a merger to the Cartel Office of Ukraine .
After its sister companies AeroSvit and Dniproawia, Donbassaero also filed for bankruptcy in mid-January 2013 and ceased operations.
Destinations
The home base was Donetsk Airport . From here and from Kiev airport there were flight connections to destinations in the CIS countries, such as Moscow or Samara . B. Vilnius and Athens . Destinations in the Middle East, such as Dubai or Tel Aviv , were also part of the flight plan.
