The Doğancı Dam ( Turkish Doğancı Barajı ; formerly Doğancı-1 Dam ) is a dam on the Nilüfer Çayı River , a right tributary of the Simav Çayı , in the province of Bursa in northwestern Turkey .
The Doğancı Dam is located 20 km southwest of the city of Bursa in the Uludağ Mountains. It was built in the years 1975–1983 with the purpose of supplying drinking water to the urban area of Bursa. The barrier structure is a 65 m high earth embankment dam with a clay core . The dam volume is 2.52 million m³. The reservoir covers an area of 1.55 km² with normal damming. The storage space is 43.3 million m³. The dam supplies 110 million m³ of drinking water per year.
