Doc Kane

Louis "Doc" Kane is an American sound engineer .

Life

Kane is a sound engineer for Disney Digital Studio Services who has contributed to well over 300 feature films; especially Disney cartoons and computer-animated Pixar films. He began his career in the early 1980s with the cartoon Mrs. Brisby and the Secret of NIMH . In 1992 he was nominated for the Oscar in the Best Sound category for the first time for Beauty and the Beast . The following year he was Oscar-nominated for a second time for Aladdin . In 1995, the nomination for the carried BAFTA Film Award in the category Best Sound for The Lion King . At the 2005 Academy Awards , he was nominated for Best Sound Editing for The Incredibles ; his fourth and so far last Oscar nomination came in 2008 for Ratatouille .
