Dodman Island is a 5.5 km long island in the Biscoe Islands archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 6 km southeast of Rabot Island and 16 km west of Ferin Head on the northern edge of the Mudge Passage .
The island was mapped and named by participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937) led by the Australian polar explorer John Rymill . The headland of Dodman Point in Veryan Bay in Cornwall was the basis for the name .
