The Doe Run Company is an American company that operates several lead mines and a lead smelter in Peru .

Doe Run goes back to the St. Joseph Lead Company of Missouri . After the Old Lead Belt was exhausted, the company opened up new deposits north of Viburnum, Missouri . In 1981 the Fluor Corporation took over the St. Joseph Lead Company and in 1986 merged it with the Homestake Mine to form the Doe Run Company. In 1994, Ira Rennert's company Renco took over the company.

In 1996 Fabricated Products , a manufacturer of lead oxide for lead batteries , was acquired. In 1998 the lead mines were taken over by Asarco .

In 2013, the last US lead smelter in Herculaneum (Missouri) was closed.
