Dolmen de la Bie

The Dolmen de la Bie (also called Pierre de la Pie or Pierre Levée ) is located south of the D42 road, west of Le Rochereau near Poitiers in the Vienne department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The heavily damaged dolmen has an imposing cover plate that is over 6.0 m long and 5.0 m wide. But it is only on one side of the orthostats . The other visible stones must come from another system. The dolmen has been classified as a monument historique since 1945 .

Nearby is the Fontenaille dolmen .
